Residential
Coffered ceiling incorporating a lighting trough.
At Whitechapel Art Co Ltd, residential work can vary in size from a full house of lime plaster and cornice, to 3 metres of cornice match to existing, supply & fit. From placing an enquiry, or site visit we aim to return a quotation within 1-2 days, customer service is of the utmost importance.
A summary of work we regularly carry out within residential properties include, ceiling centres, cornice (both match or stock), arches, corbels, solid/lime plastering, standard plastering, coffered ceilings, lighting troughs, any associated bespoke plaster works.
This view from the bottom of a stair case shows the combined effect of a cornice, panel moulds on walls following the stair access to first floor and to the left a corbel can be seen which is a springing feature for a fibrous plaster arch through which the entrance hall is accessed.
This image is of a coffered area incorporating a lighting trough; the ceiling detail mirrors the kitchen island below it. This was done by taking a template of the island on site then forming the plasterwork in our work shop using glass reinforced gypsum, and working with the electricians so wiring and lighting could be concealed within the finished work. This is a bespoke specialist piece of work which was visualised by the client and delivered by Whitechapel Art Plaster Co Ltd.
