Contemporary Plastering

We can produce in our workshop original designs such as our previous projects, which include a ceiling in the directors lounge of a football stadium, a coffered GRG ceiling in the shopping area walkway below the Royal Exchange Theatre.

In addition to this and as pictured below is a plaster training shoe complete with a bracket for positioning it on a display board in a flagship designer shop promotion. The techniques are similar to those employed in our traditional works but tempered with a few innovations to get the results required. An example of piecing things back together and reproducing the damaged decorative finish can be seen on a church wall relief plaque which fell from a wall and was badly damaged but reproduced and paint finish matched by Whitechapel Art Plaster Co Ltd.

We also publish news items about interesting works such as these contemporary ones so interested parties can appraise what we are doing.

The Lions Head on the right was moulded from a model in our workshop and is in GRC (Glass reinforced concrete).

This GRC wall relief can be colour matched with suitable pigments in the lab by our colourist, to match, or contrast, with the substrate to which it is to be fixed.
